Restricted, Prohibited & Hazmat Shipments
Before sending items to our warehouse, please review our restricted and hazardous shipment guidelines. Some products require special approval, documentation, packaging, or carrier acceptance before they can be shipped to Barbados.
If you are unsure whether your item is allowed, contact EvoGoBox before purchasing or shipping the item.
Items That Require Review Before Shipping
The following items may be restricted, hazardous, or require special handling before they can be accepted for shipment:
- Lithium batteries, power banks, battery packs and devices with built-in batteries
- Perfumes, colognes, body sprays, and fragrances
- Aerosols, spray cans, shaving cream, bug spray, hairspray, and compressed air dusters
- Solvents, thinners, adhesives, flammable liquids, nail polish, hand sanitizer, and alcohol-based liquids,
- Cleaning chemicals, bleach, drain cleaner, and corrisive substances
- Pressurized containers
- Medical supplies, diagnostic items, or temperature-sensitive products
- Supplements, vitamins, and consumables that may require review
- Electronics with high declared value
- Items requiring import permits, licences, or special customs clearance
- Fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, seeds, cuttings, or unprocessed plant products
Items We Do Not Ship
- Counterfeit currency, counterfeit coins, or counterfeit goods
- Food deemed unfit for human consumption
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, prepared opium, or related drug-use items
- Indecent, obscene, or prohibited materials
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, detonators, flares, or pyrotechnics
- Weapon parts, imitation firearms, toy guns capable of explosive action or gun-like sounds
- Flammable fuels such as gasoline, diesel, lighter fluid, butane, propane, or gas cylinders
- Dangerous chemicals not approved for air transport
- Toxic substances, poisons, pesticides, infectious substances, or hazardous biological materials
- Radioactive materials Corrosive substances such as strong acids, drain cleaners, or industrial caustic chemicals
- Pressurized containers that are not approved for air transport
- Live animals
- Perishable goods requiring cold-chain handling, unless pre-approved
- Any item prohibited by Barbados law, Customs, the airline, or the carrier
Hazmat Shipments
Hazardous materials require special handling and cannot be shipped like regular cargo. These shipments may require review before they are delivered to the warehouse.

- Proper product classification
- Special packaging
- Hazard labels
- Carrier approval
- Additional handling fees
- Longer processing time
Do not send hazardous items to the warehouse without prior approval from EvoGoBox.
High-Value Shipments Over BBD $2000.00
Shipments with a declared value over BBD $2,000 may require a formal ASYCUDA customs entry before clearance.
Where an ASYCUDA entry is required, an additional processing fee of BBD $350 will apply. EvoGoBox will advise the customer before proceeding with clearance.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate invoices, product descriptions, values, and any supporting customs documents required for processing.
Lithium Batteries & Electronics
Lithium batteries are commonly found in laptops, tablets, phones, cameras, tools, toys, power banks, and other electronics. These items may require special handling or carrier approval before shipment.
- Loose lithium batteries
- Power banks and battery packs
- Devices with built-in batteries
- Hoverboards, scooters, e-bikes, or mobility devices
- Damaged, swollen, or recalled batteries
- Large electronics with built-in batteries
Please contact EvoGoBox before shipping battery-powered items, especially loose batteries, power banks, or high-value electronics.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for accurately declaring the contents, value, quantity, and condition of all items submitted for shipment.
- Incorrect or incomplete declarations may cause shipment delays
- Restricted or hazardous goods may be refused by the carrier
- Additional handling, return, disposal, or storage fees may apply
- Customs may request invoices, permits, licences, or supporting documentation
- EvoGoBox may refuse any item that cannot be safely or legally shipped
Do not send restricted or hazardous items to the warehouse without first receiving approval from EvoGoBox.
Final acceptance of any shipment is subject to EvoGoBox review, airline/carrier acceptance, warehouse handling rules, and Barbados Customs requirements. EvoGoBox reserves the right to refuse, hold, return, or request additional documentation for any shipment that cannot be safely, legally, or properly processed.
